According to the decision of the Latvian government on 21 January 2021, international students may travel to Latvia if they meet all the travel restrictions set by the government. When entering Latvia, proof of a negative Covid-19 test must be presented, which must be taken not earlier than 72 hours before boarding the carrier's vehicle or before crossing the Latvian border individually.
The condition of 10 days of self-isolation is still in force if a student enters from countries with high number of confirmed COVID-19 cases. All the other epidemiological safety instructions of the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control must be observed.
Support from the chosen university
The university must provide students with all the necessary information about these conditions and support for the student, including support for observing self-isolation. It should maintain continuous communication with each foreign student, communicating about the organization of the study process remotely, the requirements for achieving learning outcomes, and the new travel and arrival conditions.
Studies are still carried out remotely
